Lace Scarf

Here is the next project to finish.

Last year I started my first ever lace project. It was Willoughby by Jared Flood. Wow he has some amazing designs. It was also the first time I bought a pattern off the internet. All went well and then for some unknown reason it got put in the cupboard and has only just made another appearance.

I loved knitting this scarf. The pattern was easy to follow for a lace novice like me (however I did start it a couple of times before I got it right). I'm really happy with the outcome too.

This is it being blocked. I can't remember where, but I saw someone using these foam square for blocking and I thought that was a pretty good idea. So I bought two packets at the cheap shop for 3 dollars each.

We will see how it ends up!

That looks amazing!!
What on earth does 'blocking' mean?

Hey Jo, it's when you wet the knitting and stretch it out. You can see the lace pattern better after you do this and you get a better shape to your knitting. Jen
